I can hardly believe it's already 2014! The new year started and life is in full force around here. I am busy at tutoring with children of all ages. It blesses me to be able to help them succeed :)
Jordan has made huge improvements since she started going to school 5 days a week. I absolutely LOVE that God has everything in control! We made the decision that Jordan needed to be somewhere else when Joseph is having therapy, the first place I called had the exact opening I needed :) She is now at First Protestant School 3 days a week with a teacher that taught when I worked there. Jordan loves going and all her new friends of course!
Joseph is continuing to make progress with his therapy. We are waiting for ECI to hire a new speech therapist so that is on hold. I still work with him in that area and he is now chewing more than ever & trying to drink out of a straw :) He is working on sitting and crawling with pt and ot. It is not his favorite thing to do. He would rather roll where he wants to go. He has discovered how to kick while laying down and make noise. He loves it in the bath and is so proud when I say kick and he goes crazy. We should know this week about his medical equipment - medical stroller and stander. Variety of Texas informed us that they will pay the portion we owe of the equipment - $6000. Amazing! Thank you Jesus
Joey is working at Dibello Architects & loves it. He has had the opportunity to design some awesome houses and is currently working on the new drive -in movie theater that will be here in NB!
Have a blessed week!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
We have been enjoying many fun fall activities with our friends :)
Joseph is continuing to make progress with sitting, holding his head up and looking up. We are really pushing him to do movements the correct way and weight bear. He needs to really train his body how to do these things properly before he gets too much bigger and forms bad habits. Jordan is still attending her school Tuesday/Thursday and we added a new school Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I had a pretty bad past week and a half. I took a step back & spoke with our pastor/counselor and expressed what all is still going on daily in our house & was advised to find a place where Jordan can thrive. I know it is better for her to be in a place where she does not have to listen to Joseph cry through therapy, get drug around to dr appointments, case manager appointments, insurance phone calls, etc. I really took a step back and looked at what all I was doing and decided that this is the best decision for our family. God totally provided a place for her at First Protestant. She is with a teacher that I knew from when I worked there. She is firm & loving which is exactly what Jordan needs. Jordan had some adjusting to new rules & how they run their day, yet wants to go back & has not stopped talking about it since she left.
It was a huge relief Friday to be able to get through 2 appointments, run to the hhsc office, and other errands without having huge melt downs with Jordan.
Slumber Party!
Our thanksgiving week was full of family, friends, and fun! We started the week celebrating the life of Joey's grandmother, MiMi. Jordan loved being with all her cousins and playing! She asks everyday when we can go back to see them.
I had the opportunity to go see the Brierty family! I can not tell you how excited I was to spend time with them. Yes, when I got there I cried. It had been way to long since I saw the sweet kids that I love so much! Jordan & Joseph felt right at home & Jordan had Ashley promise she can come back another day :) The pictures below are 10 years apart! Crazy!
Tea &Tangled Party with Meg & Olivia! We enjoyed our time we spent at the Chalupa's house :)
Thanksgiving was a great time! We had a baby shower for Travis & Tarasa's baby :)
SANTA!
