Swine Flu

For those of you who have not heard yet, I am still in school. I am glad we are because we are getting the TAKS test out of the way and not going to have to make it up in a few weeks. I have not heard of any cases in the district where I teach, just Guadalupe County. Pray that we can make it without shutting down this week.

Rattle Snake

Tonight when I got home I went from Joey truck to my Durango and stepped on something squishy. Well, it was a rattlesnake. Luckily God was watching out for me and I stepped on the head which is why I did not get bit. When I stepped on it and looked down all I saw was the part past my shoe not the head. I did not totally freak out I just yelled for Joey. Apparently one of our dogs Chica was by Joey at the front door and started going crazy as I approached the Durango to warn me it was there. I did not hear anything unusual, I thought she was playing with Joey. Any who, I am fine. No bite marks, nothing wrong at all. A little scared since Joey is leaving May 10th for 3 weeks, but I can kill snakes with a shovel. I have done it before.

Relay For Life

This was my second year to be on Team Rachel in the New Braunfels Relay for Life. Rachel is my lifelong friend Amy's daughter who is 2 years old and fighting against cancer. These first few pictures are during the first lap of the night. It is the Survivor Lap, where all of those who survived cancer take a lap to honor the fight they have had to go through. It is very moving and emotional. Rachel was the youngest survivor that night. Amy and Michael are amazing caretakers and do their absolute best to make sure she is receiving the proper treatment and help she deserves. I am so grateful that God has brought Rachel this far and continues to bless their family. It hurts me to see Amy and Michael go through this. They are an inspiration to keep on swimming through life and take it one day at a time.

The theme this year was Finding Nemo. "Just Keep Swimming Rachel" The theme for the night was Toon Out Cancer.
Amy and Micheal were blessed with another beautiful little girl, Emily.

Amy and I helped Cade with the first lap. He had a blast playing with everyone.

Amber and I grew up together as well. It is fun to get with the girls and hang out.

Brenda and Holly were on the team as well. I used to babysit Holly when she was 3. Brenda survived breast cancer.

Elvis made his appearance and of course Mom loved the concert!

Rachel and Mom stopped for a bubble break. The evening was a huge success.

We Love You Rachel!

Courtney Visit

We got Courtney this chair and umbrella set for Easter! Hopefully she will enjoy it this summer.

Scott & Stephanie's Wedding

Joey and I are all smiles about the wedding.
Joey with his brother Justin and cousins Joel and Jerod.

My Pearland sidekick.

Caden playing peek-a-boo. The electricity went out through the wedding and most of the reception. They got a generator to use for the DJ until the power came back! Stephanie handled everything extremely well.
Landon was not wanting his picture taken so Jillian tickled him to get him to move his hands from his eyes. Stephanie enjoys a drink and stays laid back even though things did not go quite as planned.

Jillian entertaining Callie.....she did not sleep at all.

Joey with the new Mr. and Mrs. Wemhoff.
My favorite brother in law!

Uncle Victor

Aunt Alisa

Me and the most amazing husband ever!
Buckmaster and Joey stop to pose for a picture.
The Navarro Family!

The Kammerer KIDS!

Joey and I both danced with Scott. For those of you who think Joey is quiet and reserved....think again.

Clifford came to join the fun.
