Doctor Appointment

Baby update.....

We went to a doctor visit today for the 2nd trimester of blood work. We were able to hear the heart beat. It was exciting! I made it through the blood being drawn without throwing up or passing out. In 4 weeks we will have another sonogram. All the 1st trimester blood work came back good. I am not a carrier of cystic fibrosis. Everything is going great so far.

Never a Dull Moment...

All had been going well.... the start of the school year was great. The new classes I am teaching I love, Joey doing well at work and school, and a 3 day weekend..what could go wrong?!?!? Well, of course I got the dreaded flu. I did not start to feel bad until Sunday. We were at Olive Garden and I had to run out of the restaurant to get sick. (Embarrassing) Luckily, the on call Dr. advised me to wait until the ER slowed down to go in. We went Monday morning and were not there very long at all. Of course, Joey was mortified that we were in the ER over the flu. He said in order for him to come to the ER he would have to be dragging his leg behind him. I was mad because the copay was $100, but better safe than sorry. After the ER I went to my parents since I was already with them the night before, they were nice enough to let me come over and watch cable and hang out. I am going back to school Thursday. I only had a fever on Sunday so I have been fever free for 3 days. The worst part of the whole thing has been my throat, which was killing me. Hopefully, nothing else invades my body and the baby. I have another Dr. appointment on the 17th for the 2nd trimester blood0work. (Everything came out fine and normal with the first trimester blood work)

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers through this pregnancy. I will keep you updated!

Breathalyzer Test

No pictures of this....but it is a great story. I have a CDL drivers licence. (scary I know) On Friday at school there were random drug tests for those of us who are eligible to drive a bus. I got to take my first breathalyzer test! It was quite comical. It made my day. Kinda strange I know but how often can you say you had to blow at school for no reason other than randomness.

9 pin bowling - Zorn Bowling Alley

Diana and Joey got to not only eat burgers but also bowl Friday. Not many college kids can say they have been 9 pin bowling. It was great fun even though I did not participate.
Mom stayed for dinner and fun as well. Colten kept score since he had an amazing math teacher last year. Fancy score boards I know everyone in a big town should be jealous.

Yes, actual kids set the pins. No technology here...just good ole fashioned work ethic.

Diana Still Loveing Schlitterbahn

Diana and I have been going to Schlitterbahn together since she way almost 2. She would sit in the tubes that are covered all the way around with a pacifier in her mouth and go down the tube rides. At the end, she would say "My boat again!" The miracle of it all is that she did not loose the pacifier. She has loved Schlitterbahn ever since. We went this weekend while she was here visiting.
Hillside Tube Ride is awesome!

White Water fun!

The Baby Bump grew this weekend.

The new Congo River.

Oh No!

This will be my new hangout for the next few summers. The baby area.

It even has it's own car wash!
The famous tram.

Underwater picture that took about 20 tries.
Diana at another new hangout for the next few summers.
Blastenhoff adventures!

Schlitterbahn....bahn....bahn

The Fishbeck's, Jillian and Iwent to Schlitterbahn. We had fun for the 2 hours we were there. I did not realize it closed at 6pm in stead of 8pm. One last trip before school started.
Reed ...being Reed and having fun no matter where he is.

Rhyder and I hung out while Jennifer, Reed and Jillian floated the Congo River.

Kyle playing at Freiheit

Joey, Justin, Jillian and I went to Tim's graduation party and then carried the festivities over to Kyle's concert. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the music. I left early and was not feeling well at all.

Micheal is so photogenic.
