Tex & a Copper Head

So this morning I get a call from Joey at school...a very rare occasion. My cell phone is off while I am at school, so when he calls it means something is up. Tex had a swollen face and neck this morning when Joey was leaving. I took him to the Vet and he was bit by a Copper Head. Luckily, the vet said that when the swelling is being pulled down by gravity that he was probably bit yesterday and his body is reacting by sending fluid to the area. He did not have any complications or trouble other than that. He got some antibiotics and 2 shots to help flush everything out of his system. He is doing much better and sleeping inside the next few nights to rest. The vet said it was Copper Head based on the fact that he had not lost any hair around a bite mark which would have been a Rattle Snake. He also thinks that the snake had recently eaten since he was not injected with that much venom and his fluid was starting to sag. Thank You God for watching out for us and snakes. He has protected us greatly against these critters.

Baby Kammerer at 20 weeks

I went for my next sonogram today. It was exciting to see how much the baby grew in 10 weeks. I still have not gained any weight since I got pregnant, which is weird cause I definitely have a "baby bump". We still do not know if we are going to have ... Joseph Patrick or Jordan Lynn. It was tempting to say let me know...but I am glad Joey keeps me hanging. It will be so exciting. The baby would not uncurl out of the position it is in so we could not get the 4D pictures or video this time. We tried everything, but no luck. Enjoy the pictures. We are half way there!

National Night Out

Each year we help Melody at her work during their National Night Out celebration

20 weeks Pregnant

Half way through pregnancy! I can not wait to meet our baby.

Grain Bin...CJ playing his guitar

Our entertainment in the big town of Geronimo on a Friday night is hanging out at the Grain Bin. Colten James (CJ) Reininger played last Friday night. He did a great job. He is a very talented musician.

Mrs. Reininger and I enjoying the music.

Joey loves the laid back atmosphere.

Mama Mia

I went to my first Broadway Play to see Mama Mia. It was awesome! My mom, mother-in-law and I had a great time and a great girls night out!

Baby Kammerer enjoyed the show as well.

Extreme Bulls in New Braunfels

My mom, Joey and I went to watch Clint ride in the Extreme Bulls at the Comal County Fair. It was hot but worth it. You can not beat a pork chop on a stick and some bull riding to top off the weekend.

Leon Coffee was the rodeo clown. I was surprised to see him at a small town rodeo.

Clint rode his first bull but bucked off the second. Keep working hard.
