Surprise!

On May 28th, Mrs. Garrett surprised me with a cake and ice cream! I have not had this experience before and almost cried. It was great. She said that she knew the teachers voted me teacher of the year but her family voted for me, too.

Navarro Duck Fest

The Navarro Education Foundation hosts a 5K each year to raise money. They provide teachers with grant money to use in their classroom. Joey and I participated and got last and 2nd to last. All I have to say is at least we finished. I have not done that much exercise since Jordan was born. We had fun and of course Jordan loved being outside. I judged the quacking and waddling contest after the 5K was completed.

Look at ME!

Jordan is growing up so fast! Everyday I am amazed at her new trick. She is so sweet and loves to talk and giggle. I just had to show off her "Eat Em Up Cats" clothes. Her bumbo is awesome. She wants to see everything.

Academic Banquet May 20th

Tonight I had to do the one thing I absolutely hate the most ....give a speech :( It is tradition at the junior high that the teacher of the year is the guest speaker at the academic banquet. I had been putting off getting ready....pretty much I knew I wanted to talk about dreams and passion. Thank goodness for Jillian. She brought me lunch and stayed to help me make the speech flow and sound better. I practiced and thought I would be fine....boy was I wrong. I cried twice. What a wimp!!!! Everyone loved it of course and I even had Mrs. Carter give me a hug and say she loved every minute of it. I guess it was a hit. Thank you God for allowing my dreams to come true.

Too Cute

It gets harder and harder to leave Little Miss Jordan!
I miss her terribly while I am at school:( She is getting a personality and is awake and alert in the morning. All smiles ... she is just too cute!

School Board Meeting May 18th

The Navarro School Board honored the Teachers of the Year at their monthly meeting. We received a rose and a gift card to Chilis. How fun it has been to be honored!

We have Peaches!

May 14th - This morning Joey went outside and noticed the dogs eating peaches. He thought a neighbor was throwing them over the fence or something like that. Then he realized....We have a Peach Tree on our yard and it had Peaches! He was so excited! I have never seen him so perky in the morning. That evening we went outside and picked peaches. Jordan loves it outside so we made it a family affair. This is exciting especially since we had no clue and just get to enjoy the benefits!

Heirloom Pictures

I wanted to let you know that there are wildflower pictures on www.heirloomportraitsinc.com under client galleries and password is Jordan. We went about a week ago to have her 3 month pictures taken and they should be posted soon as well. They were amazing just looking at the camera screen. I can not wait to see them!

Check Out My Dreadlocks!

This is Jordan here......yeah I got so excited at Ninda's house watching the other kids I kinda messed up my hair. My friends are so funny and love me so much that I was getting exited, kicking my feet, and moving my head. How was I to know I would knot up my hair?!? My mom washed it and brushed it real good that night. I was a good girl and no fussing!

My 1st Mother's Day

I just love this picture. My mom found this outfit for Ryan & Chrissie's dog Pixie. For those of you who do not know, my mom is a flip flop fanatic. We went to eat at the Grain Bin on Mother's Day. Here is Jordan with her friend Dax. Dax's mom owns the Grain Bin and his dad teaches with me. They are so cute and looked thrilled to have their picture taken.
Joey gave a manicure, pedicure and night of dancing for Mother's Day. I am so excited to go cash that in and have a night on the town.
