Tex & a Copper Head

So this morning I get a call from Joey at school...a very rare occasion. My cell phone is off while I am at school, so when he calls it means something is up. Tex had a swollen face and neck this morning when Joey was leaving. I took him to the Vet and he was bit by a Copper Head. Luckily, the vet said that when the swelling is being pulled down by gravity that he was probably bit yesterday and his body is reacting by sending fluid to the area. He did not have any complications or trouble other than that. He got some antibiotics and 2 shots to help flush everything out of his system. He is doing much better and sleeping inside the next few nights to rest. The vet said it was Copper Head based on the fact that he had not lost any hair around a bite mark which would have been a Rattle Snake. He also thinks that the snake had recently eaten since he was not injected with that much venom and his fluid was starting to sag. Thank You God for watching out for us and snakes. He has protected us greatly against these critters.

Baby Kammerer at 20 weeks

I went for my next sonogram today. It was exciting to see how much the baby grew in 10 weeks. I still have not gained any weight since I got pregnant, which is weird cause I definitely have a "baby bump". We still do not know if we are going to have ... Joseph Patrick or Jordan Lynn. It was tempting to say let me know...but I am glad Joey keeps me hanging. It will be so exciting. The baby would not uncurl out of the position it is in so we could not get the 4D pictures or video this time. We tried everything, but no luck. Enjoy the pictures. We are half way there!

National Night Out

Each year we help Melody at her work during their National Night Out celebration

20 weeks Pregnant

Half way through pregnancy! I can not wait to meet our baby.

Grain Bin...CJ playing his guitar

Our entertainment in the big town of Geronimo on a Friday night is hanging out at the Grain Bin. Colten James (CJ) Reininger played last Friday night. He did a great job. He is a very talented musician.

Mrs. Reininger and I enjoying the music.

Joey loves the laid back atmosphere.

Mama Mia

I went to my first Broadway Play to see Mama Mia. It was awesome! My mom, mother-in-law and I had a great time and a great girls night out!

Baby Kammerer enjoyed the show as well.

Extreme Bulls in New Braunfels

My mom, Joey and I went to watch Clint ride in the Extreme Bulls at the Comal County Fair. It was hot but worth it. You can not beat a pork chop on a stick and some bull riding to top off the weekend.

Leon Coffee was the rodeo clown. I was surprised to see him at a small town rodeo.

Clint rode his first bull but bucked off the second. Keep working hard.

Final Birthday Party of the Week...Ashton

Ashton had his party at Chuck E Cheese! It was fun to go and reminisce about when Amber and I used to have our parties there. Man has the place changed a lot since the early 90's!

20 years later we still have fun together!

Happy Birthday Rachel

Rachel had her party on September 25th. Everyone enjoyed celebrating her 3rd birthday before she headed off for Houston. She is in love with Hello Kitty so that was the theme for the big party.
Cade would come pull on my dress and grab the camera, so I would take his picture. He is adorable.

Rachel enjoyed having me open a piece of candy, let her chew it and then hand it back to me!

Robby helping Ashton out with his candy.
Emily has gotten so big! She is a very happy baby and let everyone hold her.

Joey and I got Rachel some more play dough. She loves it and hopefully will help keep her occupied at the hospital.

Happy 27th Birthday Joey!

Joey's Birthday was September 22nd. He was trying to find out what his presents were the night before, but I tricked him and got them wrapped before he could get a hold of them. I woke him up made him open them before I went to work! He got a guitar from his parents and the pistol he has been wanting from me. I was so excited to get him one last "big" present before the baby arrived. Since he had to go get the pistol, I gave him a Nerf gun to use instead.

He is not a big cake person, so I made him brownies. I am not as talented in the cake decorating area as my mom...can't you tell?

My parents, Rick, Joey and I went to his favorite restaurant, Cooper's, for his birthday. His dad brought him the guitar. He was excited and anxious to play.

My parents gave him season 5 of The Office and ammo for his gun.

My Dad helped him tune the guitar and gave him a few lessons. He even played for us. Most people don't know my Dad can play, but he can.
